Pipe TIG welder — Zapata County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Zapata County, Texas. You will work in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Overtime paid at a premium rate.
