Bricklayer • Sac County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bricklayer in Sac County, Iowa. You will work on a commercial construction site. The role involves checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $210 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
