Stainless steel welder — Knox County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Knox County, Illinois. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) 1+ years on the tools preferred.
