Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tig welder in Fayette County, Texas. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). 4+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $23 per hour, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
