Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Skamania County, Washington. The job is at a shipyard. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Your main tasks: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
