Steel fixer — Oru West

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Oru West, Imo State. The job is on a busy residential building site. What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Your main tasks: • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around ₦290,000 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
