Gtaw welder — Polk County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Polk County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
