Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Nantucket County, Massachusetts. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On a typical shift you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off.
