Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Franklin Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules On the job you will handle: • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
