Vacancy available: building site helper (Alaska)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a building site helper in Petersburg Borough, Alaska. What we are looking for: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day The role involves dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
