Great opportunity: sheet metal welder (Colorado)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Archuleta County, Colorado. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Your main tasks: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
