Escalator technician — City and Borough of Wakefield

Great opportunity: we are hiring an escalator technician in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will be based in a residential tower block. You should have: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards The role involves rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer £2,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
