We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Racine County, Wisconsin. The job is at a busy iron foundry. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
