We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Kossuth County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions What we are looking for: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
