Metal caster wanted in King William County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal caster in King William County, Virginia. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Day to day you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 4+ years on the tools preferred. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
