We are recruiting: we are hiring a dogger in Buncombe County, North Carolina. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. Day to day you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; read lift plans and method statements before starting; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Part-time with flexible hours.
