Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day to day you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
