Crane rigger — South Lanarkshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane rigger in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. On a typical shift you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Full-time, day shift.
