Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machinist in Gratiot County, Michigan. The job is in a die and mould making unit. On the job you will handle: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Full-time with occasional weekends.
