Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
