Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Jefferson County, New York. Day-to-day duties: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
