Vacancy available: we are hiring a metal caster in Liberty County, Texas. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Day to day you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
