Fettler wanted in Midlothian

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Midlothian, Scotland. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
