Urgent requirement: TIG welder (Iowa)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a TIG welder in Lee County, Iowa. The job is on a structural steel site. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Rotating shifts.
