Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Monroe County, West Virginia. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Your main tasks: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
