We are recruiting: we are hiring an escalator technician in Jackson County, Michigan. Day to day you will replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators. Ideal candidate: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring 2+ years on the tools preferred.
