Finish carpenter • Cherokee County, Iowa

Now hiring: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Cherokee County, Iowa. You will be based on a residential housebuilding project. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Own basic hand tools • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work On the job you will handle: • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles Pay around $16 per hour, based on your experience.
