Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Umatilla County, Oregon. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day to day you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
