Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe operator in Cabell County, West Virginia. Ideal candidate: • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Good attention to detail and steady hands Day-to-day duties: • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers 2+ years on the tools preferred.
