Shakeout operator • Goliad County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Goliad County, Texas. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
