Aluminium TIG welder — Elkhart County

Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Elkhart County, Indiana. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day to day you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $5,100 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
