Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Hill County, Texas. The job is on a building construction site. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE On the job you will handle: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
