Milling machine operator wanted in Porter County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Porter County, Indiana. You will work in a CNC machining unit. On the job you will handle: • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe You should have: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
