Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings The role involves bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch.
