Pipe tig welder wanted in Linn County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Linn County, Iowa. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
