Argon welder wanted in Essex County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Essex County, New Jersey. Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
