Day-to-day duties: • Replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters • Service and replace timing belts and chains • Road-test vehicles to confirm the repair • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre balancing • Estimate repair costs and order the right parts Requirements: • Comfortable working in inspection pits and on ramps • Able to read wiring diagrams and workshop manuals • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
