Day to day you will knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) Pay around $3,600 per month, based on your experience.
