Safety officer • Queens County, New York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Queens County, New York. Day-to-day duties: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Part-time with flexible hours.
