Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Crowley County, Colorado. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Your main tasks: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
