Blocklayer wanted in Northwest Hills Planning Region

Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work on a busy housing site. What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently On the job you will handle: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Part-time with flexible hours.
