Foundry worker wanted in Clay County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry worker in Clay County, Indiana. The job is at a busy iron foundry. On the job you will handle: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 2+ years on the tools preferred.
