Heavy goods vehicle driver — Saint Bernard Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy goods vehicle driver in Saint Bernard Parish, Louisiana. You will be based on long-haul routes across the country. Your main tasks: • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience 6+ years on the tools preferred.
