Vacancy available: we are hiring a site safety steward in Essex County, Massachusetts. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites On the job you will handle: • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports 3+ years on the tools preferred.
