Urgent requirement: pipe tig welder (New York)

Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Dutchess County, New York. You will be based in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On a typical shift you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
