Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering charge hand in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. What we are looking for: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules Day-to-day duties: • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
