Steel erection rigger — Aransas County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Aransas County, Texas. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. On the job you will handle: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits.
