Now hiring: reinforcement fitter (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Stoke-on-Trent, England. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day-to-day duties: • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Full-time with occasional weekends.
