Head butcher — Montgomery County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a head butcher in Montgomery County, Arkansas. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. On the job you will handle: • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date Ideal candidate: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler 6+ years on the tools preferred.
