Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Walsall, England. What we are looking for: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites Day-to-day duties: • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
